Paradise Pavillion

Dinner at Paradise Pavillion at MBLM

Had our dinner at Paradise Pavillion.  We wanted to try the Peking Duck but they only serve whole Peking duck for $88.  Hence, we didn't try it as I think it will be too much for 2 persons.  We ordered several other dishes.  There are quite a variety of dishes but they are pretty standard type of dishes.  I was expecting to see more "special" or "creative" dishes here.  Anyway, the the dishes were generally quite good and delicious.

Di Yi Restaurant at AMK ITE

This Di Yi Restaurant is located at AMK ITE.  We went on both a Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.  The restaurant was pretty crowded but luckily we managed to get a table.  The restaurant is quite big and spacious.  There's a wide variety of dishes and were very well cook and delicious.  The price was also reasonable.

Melben Crab at AMK

We had a craving for crab and we decided to packet the Crab Been Hoon Soup from Melben.  We ordered one small size crab (about 1.1kg).  It costs $50 per kg now.

We reached there at around 5.30pm and have to wait for about 40 mins for our order.  There was already a queue forming for dining in guests.   Anyway, the crab bee hoon soup was delicious!  Love the bee hoon, soup and crab meat!

Jin Shan Restaurant

Jin Shan Restaurant @ MBS Hotel on 12 Feb 2013

Had our family lunch on the 3rd day of CNY at Jin Shan Restaurant at MBS Hotel.  They served quite a variety of ala carte dishes, other than the CNY set menu.  We ordered almost 10 dishes and they were very delicious! 


The fried silver fish was very crispy and not oily at all!

 We ordered the Peking Duck but I forgot to take a picture of it!  The meat from the duck was used to fry these noodles.  And it was very well done with a fragrant "wok" taste.  Have not tasted this "wok" taste for a long time!  The duck meat was also very soft and succulent!

 The fried pork rib was very tender and soft.

 Braised Sea Cucember with Mushrooms.  Thick and soft sea cucumber was very nicely done. 










 This is a very soup based dish with luffa and sea maw.  The soup was very tasty. 









Fried asparagus with scallop!  My favourite dish. You can use the gravy and scallop strip to finish up one bowl of rice!

Yu Sheng

Yu Sheng from Cold Storage

Bought this Yu Sheng from Cold Storage (Novena) for our reunion dinner.  It costs $29.88.  The taste is quite good and fresh.  Just that the carrot strips are a bit too hard.
